Ich brauche nichts "in meinen Kopf gehämmert bekommen" wie du das so schön(das ist nun wirklich :Ironie:) ausdrückst. Nur egal wie viele  Sportanalogien in dem Artikel vorkommen, liest sich das eher als könnte man mit Kaffesatzlesen das selbe Ergebnis erzielen.

Die Beispiele sind ziemlich selektiv und hängen hauptsächlich davon ab, was man bei Disney als gutes Ergebnis sieht. Und ich bezweifle stark das sich irgend jemand da so weit aus dem Fenster lehnt und ein Ergebnis auch nur annäherend im Bereich von Teil 7 in Aussicht gestellt hat. Und sei es nur aus purer Selbsterhaltung

Naja, auch dazu gibt es Schätzungen von industrienahen Journalisten.

Wenn es sich bei 1.3 Milliarden einpendelt, und selbst das ist im Moment nicht sicher, ist das kein ausgeprochener finanzieller Mißerfolg, aber für Disney doch mit hoher Wahrscheinlichkeit eine Enttäuschung. Vom Verhältnis Budget-Umsatz her wäre das nicht einmal so viel wie bei AotC.
