Der bedeutendste Autor des Biedermeier, bekannt für seine ausufernden Beschreibungen
und die eher wenig interessanten, (weil) meist tugendhaften Charaktere; berüchtigt für
seine Esslust mit der er sich letztlich die Gesundheit ruinierte (ca. 6 Mahlzeiten täglich und
beispielsweise ein Abendessen mit sechs Forellen als Vorspeise und einer ganzen Ente als
Hauptgang sind verbürgt) - wobei Adalbert damit in Hobbingen wohl kein größeres Aufsehen
erregt hätte.^^
