Klingt sehr toll - ich glaube, ich versuche jetzt schon mal, eine Runde zusammenzukriegen, die das mit mir zum Anlass für eine neue Kampagne nimmt!

EDIT: Lustigerweise sind die damit ja wieder praktisch beim Ursprungsplan - anfangs hieß es ja, es sollen drei Basissets für aufeinanderfolgende Epochen erscheinen, "Adventures over the Edge of the Wild", "Errantries of the King" und "The War of the Ring" - und dann ist man mit der Revised Edition auf ein Grundregelwerk umgeschwenkt. Und jetzt wird die 2nd mit 20 jahre späterem Time-Frame und einer Kampagne namens "Errantries of the King" angekündigt ...

Na dann wird die bereits lange erwartete Moria Erweiterung am St.-Nimmerleins-Tag kommen. Schade. Außerdem trauere ich den Illustrationen von Jon Hodgson jetzt schon nach. Auf der anderen Seite klingen gestreamlinte Regeln wiederum sexy. Also erst einmal abwarten.

Okay. Ich liebe "The One Ring". Ich sollte mich also freuen, dass es was Neues gibt.

Tue ich aber nicht.

Das hat einen ganz und gar eigennützigen Grund:

(Klicke zum Anzeigen/Verstecken)Ich habe vor ein paar Monaten erst eine fette Präsentationsmappe mit Regelzusammenfassungen fertig gestellt. 140 Seiten! Alles drin: Charaktererschaffung, alle Vorteile, alle Belohnungen, alle Regeln zu Feinden, Begegnungen, Schattenregeln, dazu noch eine Timeline mit allen wichtigen Ereignissen seit dem ersten Zeitalter, als SL-Zeugs. In der Mappe sind außerdem A4-Regelkarten für die Spieler, wo alles draufsteht, was man so wissen muss, Würfelsystem etc. Dann natürlich noch A6-Kampfhaltungen-Karten. Und Gegnerkarten für alle wichtigen Gegnersorten. Alles laminiert. Alles bebildert. Alles The One-Ring-mäßig gelayoutet. Alles basierend auf Edition 1.5.

Ich habe 3 Jahre immer wieder zwischendurch daran gebastelt. Monetärer Wert: Etwa 100 Euro.

Und das kann ich dann natürlich, wenn die neue Edition kommt, gepflegt wegschmeißen. Naja... zumindest muss ich viel neu machen. Und das ist auch eine Kostenfrage.
