Monte Cooks World of Darkness
« am: 18.11.2006 | 10:48 »
DAS ist doch mal eine Meldung, oder?

Zitat
It's true. It's real. The book is called Monte Cook's World of Darkness and it debuts at Gen Con Indy, 2007. Speculate from there until we give you facts (though I know how the internet loathes facts).

Cheers,
Will

Noe...

On Topic: Ich bin auf jeden Fall gespannt. Bisher waren Montes Veröffentlichungen eigentlich alle ziemlich klasse, mal sehen, was er diesmal so baut...

Eben.

So what does the future hold for me? Well, at least one more game project. Earlier this year I got an offer to work on something so cool that I couldn't say no. But it's not a Malhavoc product, and so I'm not at liberty to announce it here. That comes out next year.

Gut, tausche "letzte" gegen DAS große Projekt.

White Wolf Announces Monte Cook’s A World of Darkness
Atlanta, GA – December 6, 2006
Posted: 2006-12-06

White Wolf is pleased to announce a special product, slated for release at GenCon in August 2007. For his last book written in the roleplaying genre, Monte Cook is penning his own unique version of the horror setting known as the World of Darkness.

Rich Thomas, Creative Director for White Wolf, commented, "We've invited Monte to come play in our sandbox and can't wait to see what kind of castles he constructs. This opportunity to work with him on a project set in the horror realm, re-imagining things in Monte's own inimitable style is something we know will be exciting to our fans and the gaming industry in general."

What is the World of Darkness? - It's a place very much like our world, sharing the same history, culture and geography. Superficially, most people in this fictional world live the same lives we do. They eat the same food, wear the same clothes, and waste time watching the same TV shows. And yet, in the World of Darkness, shadows are deeper, nights are darker, fog is thicker. If, in our world, a neighborhood has a rundown house that gives people the creeps, in the World of Darkness, that house emits strange sighs on certain nights of the year, and seems to have a human face when seen from the corner of one's eye. Or so some neighbors say. In our world, there are urban legends. In the World of Darkness, there are urban legends whispered into the ears of autistic children by invisible spiders.

What will the World of Darkness become, as envisioned by Monte Cook? The answers will be revealed this summer. As more details of this forthcoming game are released to the public, all information will be posted on www.white-wolf.com.

http://www.white-wolf.com/index.php?line=news&articleid=753

Garnix.

Together, vampires, mages, werewolves, demons, and even the Awakened are called the Shadow Cultures. We exist among humanity, but most of humanity is not aware of us. We fight our battles in the shadows — both literally and figuratively. People don't realize that clashes that determine whether they live or die — whether this reality survives or crumbles — took place last night, and will the next.

The Shadow Cultures don't trust each other. Sure, a few exceptions exist, but even my cronies in the IDA don't see eye to eye. A lot of them have their own agendas, and we find ourselves on the same side because we all want to be free of the Inconnu so that we can do something else. If this all ever comes to some sort of resolution (and I don't see how that's possible), Sylvia and I will be on opposite sides. I doubt Gareth and I will get along with a common enemy, and I certainly don't trust Mephistopheles — or whatever he wants to call himself — any farther than I can throw him. Yet for now, we need each other.
