I'm still seeing comments from people asking how we know this has definitely happened without an official statement from FFG. This is the kind of thing that is rarely officially announced and many of us are too keen on the fact that we can't trust rumors surrounding anything that has to do with FFG. Official announcements are frequently the only way we know for sure we are going to get a product. FFG is notoriously tightlipped about what the future holds. This is actually a really good policy. However, in this case we have some really good sources for the news of the RPG department being let go: the former members of the RPG department. Three of the four of them are in this group. One has stated he lost his job in a thread in this group. Two of them have made public announcements on their Facebook and Twitter accounts. Many other people in other departments of FFG have also been laid off and you can confirm it through those individuals' Facebook, Twitter, or LinkedIn accounts. So as of now, the only real "official" statements are going to be through random new articles and blogs that happen to have people that personally knew these folk at FFG. Many of us in this group have gotten to know memebers of the RPG team personally through work on FFG RPG products. I count myself lucky to be one of those people.

While many of us are deeply saddened that our friends have lost their jobs, we also find ourselves in a state of uncertainy surrounding the future of our favorite RPG products. Until FFG makes an announcement about it, all we can do is wait and continue to enjoy our games.

I've stated as such in the comments of some threads here, but I want to reiterate that myself and the other admins aren't going anywhere. This group will still be here along with all the platforms the Genesys RPG Community operates. There are still tons of things I want to make and put up on the Foundry. Even in the far-fetched scenario of the Foundry going away, I'll still here be making stuff.

Hmm, wenn ich das so lese war es vielleicht nicht die schlechteste Entscheidung mir noch ein GRW zu „Am Rande des Imperiums“ zu besorgen. Ich hoffe dass es mit dem System weitergeht (wie auch immer).

Das hatte ich befürchtet und erwartet. Zum Glück habe ich schnellstmöglich meine Panikkäufe hinter mich gebracht.
