Die sieben Minuten des oben von mir verlinkten Filmchens machen es sehr wahrscheinlich, dass es sich dabei um den Teaser Film handelt. Da er aber bezeichnend für "style, mood and tone of the film" sein soll, macht mich doch etwas misstrauisch...

Der Film orientiert eher an dem MC-Vorgänger Nya Mutant (New Mutant) bzw. dem späteren RYMD (Mutant Space). Genaueres steht auf meiner Webseite.  ;D
Und der Teaser ist tatsächlich auch nicht mehr als das - ein Teaser eben. Er wurde ja relativ schnell und billig abgedreht, um rasch einen Produzenten zu finden. Erst viel später sind dann die klangvollen Namen wie Stephen Rea, John Malkovich, Ron Perlman und Benno Fürmann auf der Besetzungsliste aufgetaucht. Also für HC-Mutant Chronicles-Fans (wie meinereiner) wirds sicher schwer zu schlucken geben, für alle anderen, denen die Backgroundgeschichte eher wurscht ist, wirds sicher ein ganz netter Film.

Sieht gar nicht mal schlecht aus. :d

Die Besetzung und der Autor sprechen auch für den Film, der Regisseur jedoch dagegen. Aber gut, am Ende muss der Film selbst einer Prüfung stand halten. ;D

PS: Ohne das ich ein Wort russisch verstehe, merkt man aber dennoch, dass es auch in Russland gute und schlechte Synchronsprecher gibt. >;D

Ludovico:
Kann es sein, daß der Film jetzt nicht mehr in die Kinos kommt? Hab ihn bei Amazon vorbestellt. Erscheinungstermin soll Ende Oktober sein.
