[VtR] Blood and Smoke-The Strix Chronicle

Ich bin mir nicht sicher, ob ich dich richtig verstanden habe. Meinst du, dass meine Kritik auch für GMC gelten müsste? Wenn ja, dann denke ich, dass das nicht zwangsläufig so ist, denn das unterscheidet sich für mich an mehreren Punkten deutlich oder mal auch nur in Nuancen, bis letztlich ein Kuddelmuddel rauskommt.
B&S=cWoD
Wenn ich mir zum Beispiel "Virtue and Vice" ansehe, dann ist die Regelmechanik zwischen nWoD-Core und nWoD-GMC sehr ähnlich. Allerdings werden in der Mechanik von GMC die Laster deutlich aufgewertet, so dass es eine leichte und stimmige Möglichkeit ist sich (= Willpower) wieder ein wenig Aufzutanken. Mirrors diskutiert das Für+Wider und bietet Optionen es z.B. ähnlich wie die cWoD zu handhaben.
Bei "Masks and Dirges" wird da nichts diskutiert. (Das ist jetzt nicht ganz richtig, denn im Storytellerkapitel wird die Option vorgestellt Attribute zu streichen und Masks&Dirges zur Bildung von Würfelpool heranzuziehen). Es geht um den äußeren Schein und darum was das Wesen dahinter ausmacht. Das ist für mich cWoD "Nature-Demeanor". Wenn ich das jetzt nicht falsch gelesen habe, können sie beide sowohl eine kurze Erfrischung als auch ein nachhaltiges Genieren bewirken, was dann wiederum was Neues ist.
An der Stelle frag ich mich dann nicht ganz ernst gemeint, was mit dem von vielen so gewünschten X-Over-Potential ist. Denn damit geht VtR-B&S einen (bislang) sehr eigenen Weg.
B&S=nWoD Mirrors
Das Register der Humanity / Morality - um ein anderes Beispiel zu bringen - ist im nWoD-Core sehr ähnlich dem der cWoD. Mirrors bietet dagegen Ideen für ein Personalisieren der Moralvorstellung oder nutzt zur Eskalation / Dramaturgie. In der GMC werden "Breaking Points" anhand von 5 Fragen definiert, die wertfrei nebeneinander stehen. VtR-B&S ordnet Breaking Points (ohne Fragen) einer Moral mit Stufen zu.
Hier finde ich den Unterschied zwischen GMC und B&S ziemlich groß.
B&S=GMC
Conditions dagegen sind sowas von nWoD2.0, dass sie in den GMC und in B&S vorkommen (müssen).
Hach, ich weiß auch nicht. Wahrscheinlich führt ja jede Edition zu einem Mischmasch aus Bewährtem, Wiederzurückgeholtem, Leichtverändertem und Neuem.
Mich würde mal interessieren was die VtR KennerInnen zu den Unterscheidungen bei Bloodlines, Clans, Covenants oder den Disziplinen und all dem Kram sagen... ;)
Oberkampf:
Wie ist denn das Abenteuer so unabhängig vom System? Könnte man das auch mit anderen Urban Fantasy-Regeln bespielen oder sogar in ein anderes Urban Fantasy-Setting mit Vampiren packen?
Verdammt, ein Teil von mir will es sich angucken, weil ich Strix so unglaublich cool finde.

Ich habs leider noch nicht gelesen.
Der Punkt klingt aber erstmal so, als haben sie an der Stelle irgendwie einen Rückschritt gemacht. Gerade das freiere System der Breaking Points hat mir sehr gut gefallen an Godmachine. Darf man sich das in B&S dann wieder so vorstellen wie in der normalen nWoD? Wenn ja, wo liegen die Unterschiede zwischen den bisherigen und den neuen Schwellenwerten? Sind da neue Sachen dazugekommen oder hat man alte neu einsortiert?
Noch bin ich ja skeptisch, ob ichs mir wirklich zulegen soll. Zumindest werd ich auf die Druckversion warten - bis dahin hab ich ja vielleicht mal die Gelegenheit, bei jemandem reinzuschauen.

Es ist mehr oder weniger eine der in nWoD Mirrors diskutierten Optionen: Individualisierte Morality. (Was etwas anderes ist als die Morality im nWoD GRW)
