heyho gang,
ich wollte hier mal einige gedanken zu dem neuen genre technothriller respektive moderne pulp-paperbacks loswerden. seit neuestem scheinen viele zuvor hierzulande-nicht-so-bekannte anglo-amerikanische autoren wie Douglas Preston, Lincoln Child, John Rollins, Matthew Reilly aus den schatten zu treten und sich im bereich abenteuer-und actionbücher zu profilieren. nicht zu vergessen natürlich die ganzen okkulten sachen von Dan Brown und die vielen trittbrettfahrer, ob jetzt Templer oder Freimaurer...
diese lesen sich unheimlich schnell weg und sind so verfasst, als ob man sie im prinzip als film-szenario veröffentlicht hat. die protagonisten sind allesamt abenteuersuchende Indiana-Jones verschnitte und ehemalige spezialeinheitler oder historiker, die diversen quasi-übernatürlichen mysterien auflauern, in der arktis joggen und in pyramiden kriechen. zu bedenken ist natürlich, dass da literarisch keine grossen erwartungen geben kann, aber das dürfte man aufgrund der hohen lesbarkeit in kauf nehmen können.
alles schön und gut, aber was hat das alles mit Cthulhu tu tun ?

ich will hier keine werbung für groschenromane betreiben, um himmels willen.
ich habe mir lediglich gedacht, vielleicht lesen sich das hier ein paar gewiefter CoC-leiter durch, die sich uU schon hinreichend auf dem markt der offiziellen
ABs ausgetobt haben (so viele sind es eigentlich nicht, weder bei Chaosium, noch bei Pegasus) und kriegen einige anregungen.
(und das eigene englische verbessert es allemal
