Giant Sand: WolfyThe wolves are all around the door step
Circling like they do
Now is not the time to forget
What there's still time left to do
Hasnt even hit the papers yet
Just speculation and preview
Criticism boings like sonar
Tells you how deep you do
All this suction
All this verve
Is just good old fashion
Self destruction and loss of nerve
Avoiding which makes you feel better
Colliding with what you represent
Finally getting around to writing the letter
Can't remember if it ever got sent
All this suction
All this verve
Is just good old fashion
Self destruction and loss of nerve
Failing is falling
Is ... entertaining too
Giant Sand: No ReplySeeing you seeing me.
See how we abide
Surviving the emergency
When worlds collide.
No reply.
See the sky bursting open.
See our surprise.
Down here in the crowd and hoping.
See how it opens our eyes?
Something will open our eyes.
Even when the worst is over
And on this you can rely
If I ever ask you over,
Just give me no reply.
Still seeing eye to eye.
No reply.
