Guidance als Dauerschleife?
JS:
Guidance geht auch auf die Initiative.
Guidance: "You touch a willing creature, granting it a 1d4 bonus to one ability check of its choice. The spell then ends. The target can roll the die before or after making the check."
1 action to cast, 1 minute to hold.
The ability check, in particular, can pop up often—in combat, during a social interaction, and in the midst of exploration. Whenever the rules say you’re making a check using one of the six ability scores, you’re making an ability check. This is true whether or not the check involves a skill.
An initiative check is a Dexterity check.

Selganor [n/a]:
--- Zitat von: Zero am 13.08.2019 | 12:01 ---Ich würde Guidance nicht auf Ini zulassen, da Ini keine "action" ist.
--- Ende Zitat ---
--- Zitat ---Jack of All Trades
Starting at 2nd level, you can add half your proficiency bonus, rounded down, to any ability check you make that doesn’t already include your proficiency bonus.
--- Ende Zitat ---
--- Zitat ---To make a saving throw, roll a d20 and add the appropriate ability modifier. For example, you use your Dexterity modifier for a Dexterity saving throw.
[...]
As with skill proficiencies, proficiency in a saving throw lets a character add his or her proficiency bonus to saving throws made using a particular ability score. Some monsters have saving throw proficiencies as well.
--- Ende Zitat ---
Da steht nicht: Make an Ability Check for the appropriate Ability and add your Proficiency Bonus if you got one.
Ergo: Save != Ability Check
--- Zitat ---Attack Rolls
When you make an attack, your attack roll determines whether the attack hits or misses. To make an attack roll, roll a d20 and add the appropriate modifiers. If the total of the roll plus modifiers equals or exceeds the target's Armor Class (AC), the attack hits. The AC of a character is determined at character creation, whereas the AC of a monster is in its stat block.
Modifiers to the Roll
When a character makes an attack roll, the two most common modifiers to the roll are an ability modifier and the character's proficiency bonus. When a monster makes an attack roll, it uses whatever modifier is provided in its stat block.
--- Ende Zitat ---
Auch hier steht nicht: Make an Ability Check with the applicable Ability (usually Str or Dex with Weapons) and add your Proficiency Bonus if applicable.
Auch hier:
Attack Roll != Ability Check

Chapter 7 (p. 171)
--- Zitat ---The three main rolls of the game — the ability check, the saving throw, and the attack roll — rely on the six ability scores. The book’s introduction describes the basic rule behind these rolls: roll a d20, add an ability modifier derived from one o f the six ability scores, and compare the total to a target number.
--- Ende Zitat ---
--- Zitat ---When combat starts, every participant makes a Dexterity check to determine their place in the initiative order.
--- Ende Zitat ---
Die unterschiedlichen Würfe sind also ziemlich deutlich ausdefiniert.
Rhylthar:
Sage Advice:
--- Zitat ---Are attack rolls and saving throws basically specialized ability checks?
They aren’t. It’s easy to mistake the three rolls as three faces of the same thing, because they each involve rolling a d20, adding any modifiers, and comparing the total to a Difficulty Class, and they’re all subject to advantage and disadvantage. In short, they share the same procedure for determining success or failure.
Despite this common procedure, the three rolls are separate from each other. If something in the game, like the guidance spell, affects one of them, the other two aren’t affected unless the rules specifically say so. The next few questions touch on this point again.

Und noch:
