Müsste ich mich zwischen beiden Systemen entscheiden, würde ich vermutlich Fate nehmen.
Es gibt neben den sehr umfangreichen Core Rules noch Turbo-Fate, wodurch man sich einen kompakten Überblick über die Grundmechaniken verschaffen kann. Alle Regeln sind kostenlos verfügbar, sodass man nicht die Katze im Sack kauft.
Als ausgearbeitetes "Fantasy"-Setting gibt es zum Beispiel "Malmsturm".
Es gibt ebenfalls erweiterungen wie z.B. das Horror-Handbuch oder das Antagonisten-Handbuch

PbtA wollte ich selbst einmal ausprobieren, das hat sich aber erledigt, seit ich erfahren habe, was Adam Koebel im "Far Verona" Stream getan hat.

To cut a long story short, the character of the mechanic, controlled by Koebel, violated Johnny by forcing an "orgasm" upon him without permission.

If you look at the players during the clip, you can see the horror and unease dawning on their faces as the situation unfolds, even as Adam keeps giggling his way through the description of a non-consensual sexual assault on one of the characters. Though I couldn't find an archive of the live chat, it was in a very similar state to the players: bafflement, unease, disgust. By the end of the scene, poor Johnny never gets a chance to prevent or fight back against the sexual assault, since he has no idea what's going to happen until it happens, and the session ends right afterward. During the post-session discussion, a laughing Koebel responds to Johnny's horrified player that "robots need love too".

To fully grasp the magnitude of what has just happened, let's review a few things. Adam Koebel, the well-known face of "consent promotion" and safe spaces in Tabletop RPGs, as a male GM, plays out what is clearly a pre-planned scene of nonconsensual sexual assault on one of the female players' characters (a player who is, by the way, a survivor of sexual assault) in front of a live audience of hundreds. No agency is given to the player, at no point before or during the scene does Koebel make sure his players, especially the character's player, are fine with this, and on top of that, he appears intensely amused by the sexual assault he is orchestrating in his game, even gloating about it afterward.

Nothing good could come out of this.

Ja, mir ist bewusst, dass es dazu einen eigenen Thread gibt (in dem ich mich ebenfalls geäußert habe).
Aber man sollte sich dennoch vor Augen führen, von wem pbtA (auch) stammt.

Ganz kurz: Adam Koebel hat an Dungeon World mitgeschrieben (und das auch nicht alleine). pbtA stammt von Apocalypse World ab. Das hat Vincent Baker mit Meguey Baker geschrieben. Auch bei Mythos World, Monsterhearts und vielen weiteren Spielen hatte Adam Koebel überhaupt nicht seine Finger im Spiel.

Ein Thema bei dem sich Fate ein wenig schwer tut (aus meiner Wahrnehmung heraus) ist Magie. Es gibt dazu zwar verschiedene Ansätze das umzusetzen, aber so ein komplettes Magiesystem, bei dem man als Leser hinterher aus genau wüsste, wie man das spielt ist mir noch nicht untergekommen (vielleicht in den Dresden Files, aber das habe ich bislang noch nicht gelesen). Wie ist das in den verschiedenen PbtA Hacks?
