Zitat
Sorry I'm a bit late to this conversation.

Just wanted to say that yes, Fred informed me well in advance of his plans for Evil Hat producing Fudge dice of their own, and also releasing Fate Core without the original Fudge copyright notice in the OGL. Both of which I'm fine with.

Here was part of my response to Fred: "My Fudge Dice sales remain roughly 10x what they were before SotC and Dresden hit the big time, so we're all good. :-)"

And that's with all the OTHER Fudge dice showing up on Kickstarter or being produced by other dice manufacturers.

Fred is one of the few people who actually contacted me for my "blessing" rather than just going ahead and manufacturing Fudge dice.

Because Steffan never patented Fudge dice (I would have been shocked if he had, given the whole "open"-ness of the Fudge project), and I chose not to trademark the term "Fudge Dice" when I trademarked "Fudge System" and the Fudge System logo, there are no legal impediments to anyone who wishes to make and sell Fudge dice.

I greatly appreciate those who, like Fred, /do/ contact me beforehand.

And I especially appreciate Fred's willingness to make sure the packaging includes the term "Fudge Dice." [added after rereading my post: "Or "Fudge RPG" or "Fudge Roleplaying Game" or however it will be phrased....)
