Das Brettspiel "Terraforming Mars" bekommt einen RPG Ableger:

Klingt auf den ersten Blick nicht uninteressant, aber die Infos auf der Seite sind natürlich überschaubar.

Das sieht interessant aus, aber ich kenne das Spiel nicht.
Kannst du was zu sagen?

Am Rande noch zu Shadowlands: Den Quickstarter von Winter King habe ich einmal geleitet und werde es noch einmal machen demnächst. Der Stoff und die Regeln sind richtig gut.
Jetzt kommt das ABER: Der Verlag hängt Monate hinter seiner Lieferankündigung und kommuniziert leider garnicht mehr seit dem 15. Oktober trotz vieler Nachfragen vieler Backer

Ich bin hin und her gerissen.
Die Enzyklopädie sieht vom Cover her geil aus, aber das ttrpg eher so kreuzhäßlich.

Ehrlich gesagt finde ich ein TTRPG und eine Enzyklopädie nicht schlimm, aber Mörk Börg als Regelwerk ist da völlig unpassend in meinen Augen und dazu kommt noch, ein Spiel darüber, wie man die Sarafan-Priester spielt, statt Vampire und Intrigen und Kämpfe rund um die Zeit vor, während oder am Ende von Kains Herrschaft, erschließt sich mir nicht. Welcher Hansdampf will denn LegacyOfKain spielen und dann einen NORMALEN MENSCHEN spielen??? Das ist doch schon an der Core Story die das Franchise interessant gemacht hat völlig vorbei.

Ja, und dann schaut man auf die Versandkosten und hat schon wieder keine Lust mehr drauf:

Die Entscheidung bei Legacy of Kain ist WIRKLICH bizarr (So bizarr, dass ich gerade erstmal nachlesen musste, ob das alles so stimmt! xD) ... Ich bin ja megaoffen für ungewöhnliche Interpretationen und unentdeckte Aspekte von Bekanntem, aber hier den ganzen Kain/Raziel-Mythos aus dem Fokus des Spiels zu nehmen und ihn mit "Monsterjagen!" durch den vielleicht standardmäßigsten Ansatz von Rollenspiel überhaupt zu ersetzen ... Puh.
Einerseits scheint das Leute anzusprechen, die wirklich so RICHTIG auf das Setting stehen (Speziell, aber cool ...?), andererseits kann ich mir gar nicht vorstellen, dass so wahnsinnig viele Leute auf das Setting stehen, OHNE dass die Hauptcharaktere und ihre Umstände da die entscheidende Rolle gespielt hätten ... Aber hey, es hat jetzt schon 1800 Backer, also was weiß ich schon? ^_~ (Oder kaufen das alle für die Enzyklopädie? o.o)

Übrigens, Lost in Cult ist ein wirklich krasser Laden, was Bücher angeht! Da kann man also schon Qualität erwarten. Das Projekt sieht auch megagut durchgeplant aus, was die Entscheidung für mich noch mal obskurer macht ...

... und tatsächlich auch schon wieder ein bisschen faszinierend!

The Estirpe system for Mars (Estirpe de Marte) is a new and advanced iteration of this system. It brings novel mechanics that adapt the system to science fiction, delving deeper into the scientifically plausible while offering gameplay that is both interesting and fun.

It has been in development and testing for several months, to maintain the precision, agility and robustness that characterizes this system, while integrating special mechanics aligned with the genre, space adventure and the unique generational experience it offers. Let's take a look at a summary:

    Abilities, Specializations, Masteries and more to define and customize your character, and the role and expertise to mark the difference in your team.
    The core mechanic: Your Ability determines how many six-sided dice you roll, usually between 2 and 5. Any result of 5+ is a success. A result of 6 is a double success, and the extra successes can be used for other benefits, chained actions and other options. Risks and the difficulty of the situation can add or subtract dice from your pool. A Specialization allows you to re-roll dice that have failed, representing the character's proficiency in that area.
    Masteries and special actions: combining expertise and experience characters can shine in specific areas, gaining special actions that can be used when you need all your effort.
    Your team is your hope: to face by yourself the deadly environments and the difficulties of the corporative race for terraforming and resources is not a good idea. You can count on your team, and use the cooperation rules to support your partners, chain actions or even hinder other characters.
    Physical and mental tensions: Life in spaceships and habitats is not easy. There is little space, you have to rely on the autonomy of your devices, vital resources are in short supply, the effect of cosmic radiation and other dangers, and a delicate balance where a small error can trigger a catastrophe. The Terraforming Mars experience include all these (and more) physical hazards and mental stress rules
    Choose your corporation: Everyone wants to achieve a successful terraforming, and this can only be possible with a common effort. However, each corporation has its own company policy, motivation, objectives and ambitions. As part of the team working for them, your equipment, initial resources and project will be influenced by your company, and viceversa. Influencing and evolving your corporation will be part of this game.
    Your projects change life on Mars: a new system to design and perform corporate projects, with objectives, challenges and desired results. Execute the project and explore the consequences in the colonies and terraforming Mars.
    A useful and resolute interlude system: Developing your projects during your adventures will influence Mars. You can write your name in the terraforming race. But other corporations can do so. The rules will take into account what the other corporations are doing, how they influence Mars and the terraforming race. Getting in your way, industrial espionage, political manipulation, hindering your project with their own?
    A fast-paced and decisive action system thanks to the advantage points and a new damage and incapacitation rules. Just in case diplomacy comes to an end, you know.
    A flexible character progression marked by the importance of his actions.

Ich weiß nicht ganz, was ich vom neuen CthulhuTech halten soll ... Wird inhaltlich sicher wieder gut, aber der Fokus weg von "Mechas vs Cthulhu" nimmt dem Spiel so ein bisschen den Instant-Erkennungswert, den es immer hatte. Die Tager/Symbionten WAREN zwar schon immer der vielleicht zugänglichste und vielleicht coolste Teil des Ganzen, aber trotzdem nicht der griffigste. Und dazu kommen halt die ganzen Furry-Rassen, die jetzt so seltsam präsent sind.
Das Ganze wird auch erklärt:
